![]() ![]() I have better results with lower flow rates (dia 0.4 or 1900%), but more testing needs to be done. Filament diameters of around 0.38 translate to the 2200% cmeyer posted (flow rate factors in quadratic, so use fine steps when adjusting it). Flow rate percentage adjustments mess up the ‘layer view’ in Cura (from years of experience with an Ultimaker 2, I find this one of the most helpful features in Cura). Keep in mind that you may have to find a physical solution for levelling the build bed when using Cura.ĭ) With the current version of Cura (v3.3.1) it is better to adjust the flow rate of molten filament via the filament diameter, than the flow rate percentage. The nozzle is too far away from the bed, if the individual lines can be easily separated and do not stick together.)Ĭ) Up Studio allows for an 9-point calibration routine for the z-axis. The nozzle is too close to the bed, if the brim thickness (z-direction) gets to thin and translucent. If you use a brim around a test-model in Cura, the correct height is achieved, if the individual lines that make up the brim squash together nicely. (I think a painfully precise calibration is overkill. I did compile my ‘own version’ from the start code by chrisevich. Perhaps the info below will help someone in the future:Ī) I used the start and end code from chrisevich ( #11) which worked nicely for me.ī) the z-axis calibration code posted by cmeyer never worked for me. I just wanted to thank everyone who contributed to this thread - it helped me tremendously when setting up my Cetus3D MkII with Cura. 693 views, 8 likes, 0 loves, 0 comments, 3 shares, Facebook Watch Videos from Cetus3D: As we are using the True Touch Probe, after auto leveling, the 9-point martix compensation values and the nozzle. M206 X-180 offset X axis so the coordinates are 0.180, normally they are -180.0 Do the paper test and use a gcode file something like this:p.p1 the nozzle offset may be different than in Cetus Studio. Needless to say, I’m very pleased with this printer.- make sure your nozzle offset is correct in the starting g-code (DUH) When the part was finished you could not tell where the power outage occurred. The reason is that a raft counts in the layers, but not in the objects' height. We see the layer counter increment, but not the height (lines 26.98). The reason is that a raft counts in the layers, but not in the objects height. No longer is 210 C reported, but a factor, where 1.0 means exact on the set-point (of 210 C). Then I reset the printer started it back up and after it initialized, a window popped up and said do you want to continue I said yes. Once the nozzle temperature set-point is reached (line 26), the temperature reporting changes. When the printer buzz, insert the filament into the extruder of 1 /1. So I immediately picked up the print head and smoothed out the soft plastic where it stopped. The actual height of each model is the result of model height plus raft height if it has one. To solve the issue, resize the model’s size to ensure it is within the build envelop. The model’s thickness is smaller then the Layer thickness. and click the 'Set' button to set it as the Nozzle Height. The newly developed software for the Cetus2 multi-material system allows you to define every position of material switching on the model with a simple setup. Okay, their software says the printer will remember where it was in the event of a power outage. The height of the model is larger than the highest point of the printer can reach. Cetus3D Cetus 3D printer only works with the power adapter provided by the original manufacturer, otherwise the. Quickly switch colors and materials to generate high-quality prints with dazzling aesthetics that set you free from the limitations of typical 3D printers. About an hour and a half into that print job, the clumsy bastard I am, I tripped over the power cord and jerked it out of the printer. So I set up and started a 5 Hour print job. ![]() After it started printing I jerked the plug on the UPS. So I plug the Cetus into my UPS and started a small print job. ![]() I have a CNC hot wire foam cutter and a CNC router and I've always wondered if an uninterruptible power supply would keep one of them going in the event of a power failure. Their software needs some tweaking but there's been two updates in the last month so they are working on it. I've it over a month and I've used it almost every day. I just wanted to post my two cents worth about this Cetus3D printer.
